The story behind the Application:


The Hague Bunker Team is a group of real bunker enthusiasts who have been researching German defenses for almost 25 years, mainly in The Hague and Scheveningen, but also far beyond, and even abroad!

The research focuses on locating the missing defenses (GPS) and identifying them, using old maps and soil radars and whether a prod is determining the location and the type and the current status of the work, after which all findings are shared on the site and in the app.

With emphasis we want to distance ourselves from 'bunker diggers' that show no respect for the bunkers and nature.
We are increasingly being confronted with the mess that others leave behind.
Leaving holes open is a danger for both humans and animals.
A work (bunker etc) that is open is very susceptible to vandalism.
Moreover, a municipality can decide to dismantle if there is too much inconvenience.
So we ask everyone who decides to open a bunker and / or to locate via the app to take this into account.
If everyone cleans up his mess neatly, we can enjoy the defenses for a long time!
