Everlife 4.0 Patch Notes
This monumental update introduces a dynamic seasonal cycle, adding depth, strategy, and personalization to your Everlives. With a refined action menu, an expanded skill system packed with 85 new actions, and the new Perks & Quirks system to add bonuses and challenges, there’s plenty of fresh content to explore. Customize properties, vehicles, pets, and more with an enhanced inventory, make and interact with a new bestie character, and choose from dozens of new pets and breeds. SEASONAL CYCLE
- Four seasons per year: winter, spring, summer, fall.
- One action per season; random scenarios occur yearly.
- Age up at the end of your birthday season.
ACTION MENU
- Removed "Continue" button; double-tap to select actions.
- Actions include interactions, activities, decisions, and skills.
- Integrated selection menus and added new Shops & Services category.
SKILL CHANGES
- 85 new skill actions! Each skill unlocks 5 actions of increasing risk and reward.
- Skill point total raised to 100.
- Media skill removed. Updated skill names: “Money” to “Finance,” “Style” to “Fashion,” “Videography” to “Film.”
PERKS & QUIRKS
- Perks replaced with Perks & Quirks: unlock sets with EXP and mix-and-match 26 options.
- Must pair each Perk (bonuses) with a Quirk (challenges).
- Previously spent EXP refunded. EXP totals are halved; Life Goals now award 100 EXP each.
INVENTORY: PROPERTIES, VEHICLES & PETS
- New inventory menu for degrees, books, films, tattoos, and albums.
- Name and customize appearance of inventory items.
- New house, apartment, vacation home, and retirement home types.
- New vehicle types: station wagon, SUV, pickup truck, and hatchback.
- Own multiples of properties, vehicles, and pets (e.g., adopt ten cats or buy twenty mansions).
- Properties and vehicles now have individual condition levels. At 0 condition, properties are condemned and vehicles become scrap.
PETS
- Pets now come in various colors and breeds. Dogs alone have 50 breeds available.
- Pets are now part of the base game, with exclusive pets in each expansion (e.g., cats and dogs in Deluxe Edition, exotic pets in Fame & Fortune, and new nocturnal pets in Nightfall)
NEW CHARACTER: BESTIE
- Deluxe Edition now includes a dedicated “bestie” character with unique interactions.
- Opportunities throughout childhood to make a bestie.
- Besties may invite you to events or initiate drama.
- New interactions.
COLLEGE
- Grades shown when selecting a college are now guidelines; you may still apply with lower grades.
- New and updated majors for each skill.
PREGNANCY & ADOPTION
- New events for each trimester of pregnancy.
- Overhauled adoption system—swipe through babies, toddlers, and children to choose who to adopt.
BABY MILESTONES
- Actions for babies and toddlers now unlock through milestones like walking and talking.
- Try baby food and drinks, and choose a first word.
FAME & FORTUNE CHANGES
- Singers can now record music videos and release albums.
- New "Begin fame journey" action.
- New “Get “plastic surgery action.
- Choose a logo for your lifestyle brand.
- Social stat increases now boost Fame.
NIGHTFALL CHANGES
- New "Find a Sire" action in the Vampirism menu.
- New pets: raven, owl, bat, and snake.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Loading time reduced by 85%
- Extensive UI updates for aesthetics and cohesion.
- New "roadmap" app in the cellphone menu to preview upcoming content.
- New scenarios for all ages.
- Surprise me option for sexuality.
- All adult actions are now available to elders. Fitness-related actions may fail (or worse).
- Follower count now tied to social media skill, increasing dynamically with skill level.
- Drama events are now scenarios; removed drama level selector in settings.
- New & improved memories.
