We're rapidly accelerating the vehicle onboarding flow and are launching the ability to get notified when your car is onboarded.
Sidecar+ subscribers can now see their vehicle range directly on the map, making it easier to plan trips with confidence. To support this, each vehicle now has a Buildout page for setting max range and fuel tank size; setting these values will allow Sidecar to estimate your car's range.

No connected services on your car? No problem: use an OBD scanner + iCloud sync to see your offline car data on your Apple Watch, iPad, and widgets.
The app works best in combination with an OBD scanner and/or a Connected Account (Beta). Without either, you can still pull NHTSA recall notices for your vehicle and track trips.

## Privacy and security
- All data is stored on your device and never sent to third party servers. If you use iCloud sync, your data will be stored on your personal, encrypted iCloud database accessible only to you.
- Sign in with Connected Accounts (Beta) uses OAuth industry standards for authentication.

Introducing iCloud backups!
iCloud backups will now back up your entire journeys, scan sessions, and vehicle signals history. You can configure the frequency and retention of your backups and restore backups from other devices.
Also in this release:
- The Mach-E and Toyota Corolla Hybrid has been fully onboarded, including TPMS and battery state parameters. We're still hunting for 4 Series tpms values!
- You can now configure the fuel tank size for vehicles that have combustion engines, enabling the State widget to be used for vehicles that only report fuel volume remaining instead of fuel tank %.
- Sidecar now supports talking to mid-90's and early 2000's vehicles that use the ISO 9141-2 protocol.
- You can now delete vehicles from your cloud garage.
- A new transmission parameters section is now standard for vehicles.
- iCloud sync stability has been improved for the Apple Watch.
- Improved rolling average stabilization for fuel levels.
- CarPlay now uses the correct model year for the vehicle symbol.

Introducing iCloud backups!
