We are excited to announce the latest update to RocketRoute FlightPlan! This release brings new features and improvements to enhance your flight planning experience.
What's New:
Introducing a new graphical wind layer that adds real-time wind information to your planning map. You can now toggle this layer on and off in the Settings/Wx buttons menu. This new feature includes:
On Map Layers: We've added a Winds layer on the map. You can now toggle this layer on and off in the Settings/Wx buttons menu, and control the visualisation using time and altitude to best prepare for your coming flight:
See how winds change with altitude throughout your route
Easily assess wind impact during different phases of your flight
Plan more fuel-efficient and performance-optimized flights with enhanced context.
Crash and Stability Fixes: We've made several crash and stability fixes to improve the overall performance and reliability of the app.

1. Grid MORA Layer: We've added a Grid MORA (Minimum Off-Route Altitude) layer on the map. You can now toggle this layer on and off in the Map Overlays menu, providing you with essential altitude information for safe flight planning.
2. SID and STAR Selector: In the Autorouter settings, you can now select Standard Instrument Departures (SID) and Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STAR). This allows pilots to set the SID and/or STAR for the routing engines to use, giving you more control over your flight routes.
3. Crash and Stability Fixes: We've made several crash and stability fixes to improve the overall performance and reliability of the app.
